lol My physics teacher also does that. She gets really into it and very energetic like it’s cloud nine. But nonetheless she makes the class fun. yeah I just checked the mail and nothing. We’ll see on Monday. I want to e-mail them but at the same time I don’t due to the response. Might as well wait it out since I waited this long. But if another week comes and nothing then yeah I will e-mail them.

Hi! I’m new here, my name is Krystyna.

I applied to the MITES program and got wait-listed.

I need to wait until May 20th to find out if I got in.
Hopefully I will!

Who else has been wait-listed?

Hi Krysty0214!
Congrats on the waitlist, and good luck on getting off the waitlist
what state are you?

I’m from FL!
Oh mannn, I really want to go!
You have no idea!!!
How many have been wait-listed?

@ krysty, congrats on getting waitlisted and good luck on getting off the waitlist (:. I know that one other person from CC got waitlisted, but that’s about all I’ve heard.

What’s CC?
And that’s good!

Hopefully not many were wait-listed, that way I might have a higher chance of attending!
I just don’t think I can wait another month. =/
My letter says that 70 were accepted and that “a number of factors will determine” if I get in or not.
I called to ask what those “factors” were yesterday, but no one answered.

lol, CC means College Confidential
and the “factors” are probably whether or not people who were accepted choose to attend.
wow, that must be an acceptance rate of around 6% (70 accepted out of more than 1000 who applied…yikes.)

We’d have better chances of getting into actual MIT :D

Yeah it’s pretty crazy.
I hope I get off the wait-list.
This is going to drive me crazy now, lol.

Have you gotten your letter Melody?

aww man it’s not going to be fun waiting that long, but maybe you’ll hear back sooner depending on when they hear from people. It might not be too bad

I hope you get off the waitlist-it sucks that you have to wait even longer.
I haven’t gotten a letter yet, which probably means rejection, but I’m still going crazy waiting for it!
Haha, yeah, the acceptance rate for MIT is what 10-12? Easier than MITES for sure.

Wow . . .

Same state
Same situation (I’m the other Waitlisted person here on CC)

Good luck, Krysty! Hopefully both (or at least one of us) will make it :)

I am from Florida as well. So how many people have been accepted from Florida thus far?

still no cali :P

Yup!
Don’t lose hope Melody, out of my 6 friends who applied, only RJulien (he’s in CC) was accepted, and I was wait-listed.
The other 4 haven’t heard of anything either.
They’re dying, lol.

I’m sure you’ll find out soon.
:)

darn there are so many smart urms. i wonder why they wait until may 20th to tell you if you made it off the waitlist… why do they need so much time if we just tell them our response by the 13th…

@ ansar:
I’m from Miami too! lol.
Coincidence!
Hopefully we’ll both go!
^.^

aww, thanks Krysty! you’re so kind :)

so I’m hoping for Monday, and if it hits Wednesday and there is no news than I will be extremely temted to e-mail MITES an excessive number of times (or maybe just one excessively long e-mail…). lol :P

I’m assuming that if we don’t get anything past monday we are most likely rejected, or for sure not accepted, because the accepted people have to reply by monday the 13th.
