MITES 2010 Information & Discussion

if it were an email i would get it at school and prolly be distracted the ENTIRE day lol…

I’m going to be out of town the week the letters should arrive that will make the suspense even worse.

@ambaturkey11 WOW, 1st?! thats amazing!! :smiley: lol. my state is this weekend… lol. i’m scared :open_mouth: haha.

ahh MITES needs to HURRY UP!! lol. I wanna apply to the high school program that Stanford has, but i can’t because i dont know my decsion of MITES lol. && i’m not going to waste 50 dollars on an application to Stanford. lol. Spots are filling up to Stanford, FAST ughhh i hate this lol.

I agree they should do Email :slight_smile: lol.

10 days!!! Even though they probably mail the letters that day, so we won’t find out for a couple of days later…but oh well. And I agree, email would be sooo much better.

no email would suck. i’d be freaking out.
when do acceptance letters come out again?

I thought that the notification would come via email.

Have we confirmed that they are coming snail mail or is that just a guess?

My daughter is waititng to hear so that she can make some decisions about this summer. She was turned for SEAP and we totally thought she would get it so who knows with MITES. I am glad she had already applied when she found out about SEAP.

Good luck everyone!

@2011VAMom

It’s probably regular mail because that’s how they’ve sent the decisions in past years.

Thanks hpaero1 -

Snail mail = old school. LOL - like when I applied to college back in the 80’s.

Hope they mail them out a few days early.

Good luck everyone!

@2011VAMom

You’re welcome. Yeah, I know it’s old school. I just don’t like calling it that. lol =)

I know hpaero1 - especially for a program at MIT. :-)

but i think i have other important things to worry about unfortunately lol.
likee… AP Exams, ACT, && SAT Subject Tests.

i found a couple of mistakes in my essays too after submitting them. Talk about failure.

i know!!! me too! and i read them out loud…

@robert: thanks! when i told some people that they were like… okay??? you’ll do fine! i bet you’ll get a chance at ISEF. you could think of the $50 as insurance lol. you should apply… you never know

at this point i am not concerned about anything else except for MITES. and i’m on spring break… so this anticipation is even worse.

@ambaturkey11 well i got 2nd at regionals :confused: & the group that beat me, qualified for ISEF, i mean it’ll be nice to qualify but yeah :slight_smile: idk… haha. ■■■■■ the thing is i dont even have $50 lol. && idk if my mom will wanna pay :open_mouth: haha. i’m going to apply though :smiley: haha.

ugh you’re on spring break? LUCKY. lol. i already did my spring break… lol. so from here until June 1 I have school with no breaks.

i would be soooo upset!
spring break is not that great… it’s only a week and we have region matches for tennis =\ the most exciting thing happening this week is me visiting gatech! but on the bright side we get out of school mid-may!

I’m nervous!!!
I keep checking my email and mail for my letter! I hope I got in!

Boooookmarkkkk

@ambaturkey11

I get out June 1st lol.
Good luck at tennis :D

I got a response from my backup program in Hong Kong.

I hope MITES really come out soon, because I have to reply to Hong Kong by April 14th.

Does anyone know if they have sent the decisions already?
I was reading the thread from MITES 09 and some had received their decisions by the 9th even though the 15th was the original date that decisions were supposed to be out.
I want to get over this anxiety -.-
