Sorry to admit this guys… But I’ve been a lurker since the beginning! I’m going to E2! ANd I’m happy because it frees up my summer for a research project AND job!

Also, can anyone answer the question of whether E2 is a wait list for MITES?

E2 is not a waitlist for MITES. It’s its own program.

OK Thanks! That’s good to know!

Bummer, didn’t get into any.
But I am so HAPPY FOR YOU ALL!

Any group for the non-Miters? :P

You E2 people need to get on the FB page so we can mingle. lol

I would if I had a facebook haha.

Ahhh <3 My E2 people <3 If you have any questions, ask me! I did E2 this past year. :3

@Awkward Please tell me exactly what the program is? How is different from MITES, besides the length of time.

For E2, you’re basically taking the elective that MITES kids take (you choose between comp sci, mechE, Electronics, aero/astro, robotics), but you do it in only a week.

Were you really glad that you went. What would you consider the main highlights of the program?

DEFINITELY glad I went. Besides being able to learn things I didn’t know before, I met a lot of amazing people, got to spend time on MIT’s awesome campus, and had loads of fun.

Some highlights were definitely the presentations, the cruise, and staying up late with the other E2ers to get our projects/homework done. :3

It doesn’t seem like you’d have time to do that much in a week, but I guess so. And a cruise? That sounds so great.

Declined. I’m sort of ****ed that I couldn’t get my ACT score in; I feel that a score of 35 would’ve helped me with my application a bit. I don’t know what the criteria were of course.

@Elrondel As I have said previously, I had a submitted to them my score of a 23 on my ACT. Yes, I am not that great of a test taker. My point is that I think they saw that I was passionate about engineering yet I really had no experience, despite my low score. I am not saying that you’re not, but that you shouldn’t stress over this because everything TRULY happens for a reason. Even though at times you may not think so, God will not lead you astray. I don’t know how religious you are, but it’s the truth. You don’t know what could happen this summer that couldn’t of happened if you got into MITES. Just saying. Please don’t be upset. I am sure you are a very talented and gifted person. Honestly, you could have been overqualified for the position. A 35 though? CONGRATS!

I sent in my score of 211 with 63 math on PSAT XD

I wish I tested as well as you guys did. I’m trying…

@awkward A CRUISE???
