MITES 2013 Discussion

I saw a new message and thought “Oh my god, this is it” Lol jk, just the Henry the Hand Foundation with some infection prevention tips

@FutureEngineer What can I say, I’m simply a boss! lol A nervous one at that.

Okay –
How about we make a Facebook page for this entire group of people anyway? XD I already feel as if we’re great friends anyway.

Oh, and on the issue of 1st generation, I believe I’m second generation for college attendance. First generation in the US, though.

I really need to be taking a calc quiz right now, but I can’t stop refreshing my mail and checking back here, lol.

So, I think some of you have already shared, but what ethnicity are you guys? A little more specific than just hispanic/asian.

I’m Chilean.

Oh, we’re more than great friends. *gives serious, yet mysterious look. Idk I need to finish my homework. lbs

@Lily My father is Mexican and Aztec, while my mother is African-American and Cherokee, with a hint of German. The German is where I get my complexion and delicate skin from. So they say.

Despite I am the melting pot, I look like I’m half black and white. Smh

I’m Colombian. And same here @Nashia. I’m a nervous guy too. This is probably the most nervous/anxious I’ve been in such a long time - if not ever!

Ghanaian, born and raised. Not really raised in Ghana, though XP

LOL since I’ve stumbled upon MITES in the Internet, I’ve been distracted.
I’m Filipino!

@Hoctopi: Actually, I think that’s a great idea. I don’t think it really matters whether we get into MITES or not anymore. With a group, we can stay in touch, give advice, discuss things, have fun, and even get together when we attend college! Knowing a bunch of people beforehand would be great, especially for a school like MIT where many of us will go. We can go ahead and make it, and call it something besides “blah blah MITES group,” since it’s more of a CC group. Something like the CC Crew? I’m not sure, but whatever works is fine. I’ll be more than happy to join, regardless of my admission. Besides, you can always leave if you want, so what’s there to lose?

@Nashia Hispanic, Black, AND Native American?? Guuurrrrl, you set. I was born in Thailand…so Asian but not superasian

I agree with Hocto :D

I am half African American (dad) and half Japanese (mom.) I tell my friends I should marry a Native American-Hispanic-White girl sometimes, so I can have children who can be anything.

We’re going through full pages of posts in ~5 minutes… that’s insane.

@run I totally agree with you! Who wants to make it? I mean I’ll gladly volunteer but whoever wishes to do so first can gladly go ahead! I would definitely keep in touch will all of you. You’d all at the very least serve as an inspiration!
