MITES Applications closed recently, so I thought I’d start this forum while we wait! Just for discussion and conversation purposes!

Also waiting… It’s a really long shot at 3%-5% acceptance rate. Even if I don’t get in, completing the essays for MITES will hopefully make college applications easier this fall. Good luck to you as well!

Yes, to both. I just got rejected from a program at Cornell. So, I’m not too hopeful. 
I’m thinking it’ll come out either the evening of April 14 or sometime April 15! I’m so nervous lol I keep looking back at my essays

same i’m crazy overthinking because i keep thinking i should’ve spent more time on them and i could’ve written something better now and it’s driving me nuts. hbdjs can’t do anything now

that’s probably another super selective program and w so many good applicants its honestly a lottery most of the time :)) good luck on mites !
My counselor actually called and they described the date decisions will be released as “mid to LATE April 
) hoping that it does come out soon, although I’m not optimistic the wait is killing me!”
what are mites AOs even looking for

What makes you think it’s the 14th or 15th? In the thread for last year, it came out later around the 20th.

Yo, I really hope they send out their decisions by the 15th, I am desperate as hell to be honest. My college applications are doomed btw. My ECs are horrible.

Usually someone who meets one of the under-represented criteria (Black, hispanic, low-income, first-gen, etc.) and also has demonstrated interest in STEM through ECs outside of class.
Guess no results today The discord is saying they will be released tomorrow at 8 pm EST…wishing us all good luck! May the acceptance rate be in our favors…
