MIT's Percent Yield

<p>do anybody have the data of the percent yield of the admitted students for MIT in the past five years?</p>

<p>what I heard was that the percent yield has increased every year since 2000 because more and more people want to come to MIT!</p>

<p>67% last year. This year’s expected yield is 68%.</p>

<p>It has indeed been on an upward trend. It’s gone up by more than 10% this decade, if I recall correctly (I may not). Let me fish for more data…</p>

Of those accepted, the percentage who actually come to MIT, known as the yield, has steadily increased in the last few years. It hovered around 55 percent in the late 1990s, but jumped to 60 percent in 1999 and hit a high of 67 percent in 2005 for the Class of 2009.
