you think MJ could have lived if UCSB had a decent medical problem, and because neverland was closer to SB than LA, it could have potentially saved his life. So are we to blame the UC system for no thinking of Micheal’s safety?

Are you saying that a school is responsible for a death because it doesn’t have a med school or a hospital?

No, we are not. Of all the absurd theories and notions I’ve read on CC over the years, this one has to be the goofiest.

UCLA has one of the best medical hospitals in the nation… ???

^yeah really

and mj had already sold neverland by the time of his death

…and he had stopped breathing by the time his personal doctor came out of the bathroom. That’s because taking too many central nervous system depressants is fatal.

This thread is confused on so many levels that it’s hard to know where to start.

MJ wasn’t living at Neverland when he died; he sold Neverland last year. He was living in a rented mansion in Bel-Air, within walking distance of the UCLA campus (of course, no one actually walks in LA, but it’s still close). The UCLA medical center is on the far side of the campus from the mansion, but still only 1-2 miles away by road.

And if MJ had been at Neverland, he wouldn’t have been transported to either Santa Barbara or LA for medical care. The nearest major medical facility to Neverland is in another city, Santa Maria, which is about 70 miles from Santa Barbara and 170 miles from LA. In fact, MJ checked into the Santa Maria hospital from Neverland in 2005, when he had the flu.

Hahaha that is such a ridiculous idea!!!
