Hey, I was thinking about doing a learning community since I thought it would help me develop a community and get a lot of academic support during my freshman year. I do not want a lot of extra required work however, and am not the artsy and creative type many of the communities attract. What learning community would you say requires the least amount of commitment and work? Also, Is MCSP a good one for sporty kids like me who like to help others? (because the learning community focuses on community service and such)
Thanks!
As a current member of MCSP, I would say the program fits what you are looking for. There are a few course requirements, but they really don’t restrict you much. The amount of commitment and work is up to you in MCSP. There are a lot of social and community service events throughout the year, but nearly all of the events are optional.
Best of luck to you! Hope to have you in West Quad with us in the fall. If you have any additional questions, feel free to message me.
Thank you!
