@thumper1 I wore Tadashi Shoji gowns for both my kid’s weddings within the last 1.5 years. I wore a smaller size in both than I normally wear; I found both to run large. I bet you will be fine with a smaller size, but if you are not sure, give Tadashi a call; their customer service is very helpful.

I saw the Kormorov dresses today at Nordstoms. Very pretty colors and designs. The material is very thin.

So I will most likely never be a mob. But I love looking at all the links showing dresses. Thank goodness I am not in the near future, or ever, going to be a mob. Although I like a few of the dresses,I find most if them to be not of my taste. So I would probably have a devil of a time finding a dress.
morrismm, I do not wear dresses and yet am not finding a simple flowing type top to wear with pants.
I love looking at the dresses and even touched some today at the store.
But no desire to wear one ever.
Back after 1+ week of vacation; just caught up on all the posts here. So fun to click on all the links to dresses/tops! A while back I posted about a young lady wearing a dress at a boat show that caught my eye. The closest I found was a Tommy Hilfiger. I ordered it yesterday. When that comes, I’ll do one final “fashion show” for H, pick one and be done. Ultimately the day is not about me; I’ve had my day and my dress!
I read about that bridal chain closing and leaving so many in the lurch. Although D didn’t get her dress there, I’m still thankful she has hers in hand. (OK, she doesn’t actually have it; it’s in the shop. First fitting in a couple of weeks.)
I’m going to take a break from dress shopping. I mean…I’ll sort of keep looking, but I’m letting this go for now. Perhaps the new fall line will have something I like…or even next spring. Wedding is end of May. I’ll either find that perfect pink or lavender dress…or wear what I have!
If I were you, I’d put on my calendar once a month to check the websites at Macy’s, L&T, Nordies, etc., from now until next January. If you haven’t found anything you like better than what you have by then, just go with what you have!

I stopped at David’s Bridal --first time ever–asked for anything not a dress for MOB.
Showed me a very small few on a rack and said that they fly off as they are in demand.
Huh? What? Why aren’t designer’s figuring this out.
I was appalled at the cheap material and generally not sophisticated styles of the MOB and the Bridesmaid
dresses in general. So many sequins and lace and goobers.

I wanted to say that when I ordered dresses, I ordered a few different styles. And was surprised that things I didn’t think were going to work looked nice on and others that I thought would, didn’t.
The komarov dress arrived and it is very pretty and insanely comfortable. But not right for me. I ordered a few more dresses with sleeves. I have this idea that I want sleeves for an October wedding. A few fall dresses are starting to be available. I’m glad I have a dress I like, it makes things feel more relaxed.
I think the komorov dresses are beautiful, and some would look good on me. Maybe I’ll be willing to spend $500 or so on a dress…but since I have five dresses already…it would have to be beyond fabulous for me to do so.
I’m also hoping the fall line has something I like in it. I could also,go,with a light eggplant color. Maybe that will be in the fall line.
