That Talbot’s topper only shows in black for me.
D’s favorite
Guessing I will order all 3. Thanks mom60 I will look at that at the store.
I stumbled on this brand - there are some nice styles, with color choices. You have to get them from a bridal/formal store, and it looks like they run about $350-$450 - but there are so many options: http://www.jasminebridal.com/mothers.asp#. There are even a couple jumpsuits, for those of you who don’t do dresses.
also this as if it cool it would be good and I really could use it anyway
kelsmom, I wish those were numbered so we could say what we like.
@thumper1 I know you are taking a break from the search, but I came across this and was not sure if it had been mentioned yet.

@my-3-sons That was the dress I mentioned a few days before. It is hard to tell from the picture if it is almost too light; sometimes these pastel colors almost come off as white!
@oregon101, the jacket in #764 is breathtaking! I can see why it is your D’s favorite.
Thanks. Pretty dress. Pale color.
@kelsmom – ooh, thanks for the link. There are some great dresses in there!
@snowball Yes, it is really hard to tell the shade sometimes when viewing online. When I was trying dresses for S2’s wedding, I sent a picture to DIL. She wrote back saying she loved it, but she was a little concerned that it appeared too white. [-X I sent another picture of the dress next to a white shirt and she was surprised to see that it really was a much deeper champagne and just the color she had suggested. Lighting in pictures can really be off.
@Consolation, that’s a great-looking dress. I especially like it in teal.
I like the teal, too. I wonder if it comes in a version a little lighter on the bling.

She is exhibiting in the Smithsonian Craft2Wear in Oct.
This is called wearable art.
I finally bought my jacket with 45 days to go.
This is the designer but my own jacket is not shown on her website.
I bought it at a gallery --The Real Mother Goose–their clothing shop called Changes–in Portland.
I only paid twice what I wanted to spend =D>
That said my really nice expensive dressy pants look great with this so in the end the
money was the same as if I had spent less on the top and new pants.
Now for shoes. I have 9 pairs of Zappos ready to return. The search is on.
I always thought I would find my jacket at this store but I do think the pressure of both
45 days and a genuine heat wave for the next few days got me to act.
H is of course not going to outright say anything --but not thrilled–and then I mentioned
that I have not even equaled what is new suit and shoes costs…
Mine is a hand dyed silk loose fitting jacket in deep greens and turquoises.
Will wear with a silky black tank and ellen fisher dressy loose bottomed pants
and black wedges to try and get two more inches to my height.
Might wear my first anniversary gift of pearls (have never worn them --beautiful
but not the right length but might be for this) or another simple artistic peal with a
diamond necklace.
Am thrilled to have this done!!!
How wonderful to have found something so unique and perfect for you! Good luck with the shoes. Zappos is the best.
Terrific! @oregon101
