No explanation. I was beginning to think they would because they said delivery by the 19th. When I checked the status it said in process. It is now showing cancelled. I haven’t yet received an email from them telling me it was cancelled. If I hadn’t checked I would still be waiting.When I ordered it the website said only 1 left. I assume it was sold or when they went to shop it they couldn’t find it. The dress is now showing sold out in all the sizes. That color was exclusive to Neiman Marcus. I have plenty of time but it’s annoying.
See if you can find the manufacturer’s website and see if they sell direct, or maybe you can call them. They may have returns from other stores.
Okay, Internet Pals - I need some opinions (and hopefully some reassurance!)
I went shopping today for my MOB dress. I went out thinking I wanted something sequin-y and sparkly (even though I’m not a sequin person), and instead I wound up buying this dress in pearl smoke:
No sequins, although it does “shine” under the lights. It fits well and will fit even better with Spanx. I like the back and the small train - but is it too “blah”? I tend to be understated but do I need something “more”?
Daughter’s wedding dress is very understated - no bling. MOG gravitates towards sequins and bling, but that doesn’t matter for MY dress, does it? I went ahead and bought it, but I can return it if I get cold feet (it’s from Nordstrom).
Opinions? Am I overthinking this? (It wouldn’t be the first time!) I don’t want to look matronly and I don’t want to out-glitz the bride, but I don’t want to look dowdy or melt into the background, either.
Love that dress. You don’t have to “match” everything the other mom picks, IMO, maybe only the dress length (all long gowns).
@scout59 - when I looked at Ash Grey, I thought it was a bit plain, so I clicked through the colors and really liked Smoke Pearl. I was going to suggest for you to get that color instead, but then saw that was the color you selected. It is very pretty and elegant.

It’s funny. I bought the dress at Nordstrom’s and then went into Saks and Neiman Marcus to look at their dresses. At the latter store I said “ooh look at that one” - and it was the same dress. Apparently I’m drawn to it.
Really like it! I see a sparkly pair of earrings and maybe a diamond or rhinestone bracelet. No
necklace. A nice satin bag with an interesting clip.

I have started my MOG shopping. I’ve found that Saks and Neiman Marcus have the best online selection. Both offer rebates through Mr Rebates and I’ve found both sites have been having good sales.
My last order was 3 dresses from NM which I was able to use a 20% off coupon they sent me for not being able to deliver on my first order. I like all 3 for different reasons. I tried them on for my H but need to get opinions from my D and a good friend. I just need to be aware of sending them back before the 30 day return policy expires.

That last one is the first dress I ordered that they cancelled. I was able to order it in a different size that ended up fitting. I like all three which is surprising since I’m hard to fit. Whatever one I end up will need to be altered on top. My H likes the low V neck one. It isn’t as revealing as it looks online. I like the lace but everyone I’ve shown the photos to has told me that it’s not their favorite. My Sister and my D and 2 good friends all like the one shoulder. None have seen in person just photos. I like the one shoulder but it is my H least favorite. Plus it will need shape wear. While beautiful I don’t see the one shoulder being the dress.
