*** Mock-Test.

Okay I took a Mock-Sat test by a company called “Revolution Prep” last Saturday.

I just recieved my scores.

math -1 = 740??? wth. it should be like 770-800
writing -1 = 760 w/ 10 essay and I sent the essay to my sat tutor and she said that it would def. be a 12 (past sat grader).
reading -8= 600?? according to blue book it should be 640-720.

so what is up with these scores…
according to them I should be getting a 2100. The test was far harder than any sat test I have ever taken (I have take all PR 11 tests and College Board 10 tests).

I fell that I should be somewhere between 2200~2320.

I have read some stuff about them and a school complained about the scores too. I feel that they are trying to make people feel bad about themselves and make them take thier $1000 courses. -_- what do you guys think??

I would not blame it on school. How much you were scoring on mock tests ?

I would be careful with practice tests from a source other than the College Board. The curves on non-CB tests don’t necessarily have to match typical SAT curves; however, the test scores (IMO) should properly reflect your preparation. Unfortunately, there exist prep companies that will give initial tests that are scored with harsh curves even though the tests may in fact be hard compared to typical SATs. It is significantly in their interest to make you think you really need help.

A mock test will give you a mock score.

A free mock test is worth exactly what you paid for it.
