<p>Define “prestigious”?</p>
<p>If you mean something that will make adcoms go “Wow! Look at this kid!”, no, it’s not prestigious. But if you LIKE IT and devote yourself to it, there’s no reason to immediately cast it aside.</p>
<p>But you should be doing these things because you like them, not because you think colleges will. Cliche, I know, but adcoms are generally pretty good at seeing through things done for the wrong reasons.</p>
<p>It’s a typical EC, pretty much what zoaxanthellae said.</p>
<p>Any EC can go from “meh” to amazing depending on how much you excel in it. Example: being a member of the debate team vs. being a finalist in debate at nationals.</p>
<p>Everything is what you make of it - do things that you feel like you can enjoy and excel in.</p>
