Moe's Southwest Grill

Does anyone else here like Moe’s?

My son and I ate there for the first time late last night. I had tofu tacos, and he had a veggie quesadilla, and we both loved it. I liked the fact that it was fresh-tasting, filling, and low in fat (except for the cheese sauce I had with my chips). I was quite full but still slept well since it wasn’t heavy.

I know it’s a chain, and it’s fast food, but it’s new to me, so I have a bit of a sense of discovery about it and plan to go there again soon.

We love Moe’s. I order a burrito and usually save about a 1/3 for the next day.

Welcome to Moe’s! (sorry, couldn’t resist, I’m programmed from the commercials)

Sadly, our Moe’s closed about a year ago :(

oh…Moe’s…S loves Moe’s,its on the edge of his campus at U south Carolina. We love it now too…they’ve opened some here at home on Long Island. I like it more than Chipoltle as a matter of fact…

When I saw their menu, I immediately compared it to Chipotle. I can’t put my finger on why, but Moe’s is a lot better. Just more flavor, I guess. Chipotle seems bland to me.

We love Moe’s too. If I’m trying to be really good, I’ll get the Naked Burrito. Just veggies, the Art Vandelay. DH always gets the HomeWrecker. I also love the different salsas that you can try with the chips. Can you tell we’ve been there a few times:)

We don’t have Chipotle here. A friend in Northern VA raves about it and I have always wondered how it would compare to Moes.
We also have another place here very similiar to Moes called Salsarita’s. It’s good too.

I’ve never heard of it. Maybe they’re afraid to come to Texas?

I know they’re in Longview and San Antonio, at least.

I adore Chipotle - don’t have Moe’s…what’s the other fast food Mexican (not Taco Bell…) something with a “Q”…we don’t have that here either…

^^^^^Qdoba

Yes, we have Qdoba too. They have really good salads in addition to the regular taco, burritto fare.

No Moes around here. We do have a Chipotle though and my H wanted to go there for dinner last week. We saw them featured in Food Inc. and learned about how they use quality ingredients sourced from local farms when possible. Cool. Soooo…I check out the nutrition tables on line (H has hbp and needs to watch salt intake and we both are trying to watch fat). Wow  Their burrito was actually rated as one of the top ten worst foods by that food police group…loaded with fat and salt. And nothing else on the menu was good either…even a healthy sounding chicken taco (and w/o the cheese) had high fat and salt. I ended up making fajitas at home and they were darn good. So disappointed though… I want a place I can go to without loading up on junk. Chipotle is not it.

We just ate at Moe’s for the first time this year, too, as there is one is son’s college town. Too bad about the Chipoltle fat and salt, cause we like them a lot. Has anyone tried the fish tacos from Del Taco? We’re addicted to them. There’s no such thing as too many Mexican restaurants! We like them all! And to think that for years, we only had a Taco Bell.

I’ll have to try Fish Tacos at Del Taco.

It’s burrito bowl from Chipoltle’s all the way for me! Makes my mouth water.

One of the first apps I downloaded on my Itouch, was the Chipotle app…point me in the direction of the nearest Chipotle!!!

Fish tacos are the absolute BEST.

We catered from Moe’s for my D’s graduation party - she has vegan friends so we ordered tofu, I usually don’t touch the stuff but now I am hooked! Moes is on her list of places to go to while she is on break since there are none by her campus.

We just got a Chipotle here, and I thought their stuff was a lot saltier tasting than I would like. Now what I would LOVE to have here is a Baja Fresh.
