Ooh. Just found another. Too much bling, though?
A big problem I have with most of these MOG dresses is that they are all made of polyester and nylon and so on. I really prefer natural fabrics. It seems as if there is hardly anything made of silk. Not even the dresses that cost thousands.
I HAVE the dress that chochipcookie posted in #4. Wanna borrow it??
Interesting, dress #4 is polyester but it states dry clean.
My s’s wedding is in a week His is less formal so I am wearing this http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/eliza-j-lace-faille-dress-regular-petite/3966472?origin=category-personalizedsort&contextualcategoryid=0&fashionColor=Navy&resultback=500 The elizaJ dresses fit well.
Cute dress. And at least some cotton!
The edges of all the folds are beaded. Its pretty fragile and they’d likely all tear off in the wash.
Cute dress.
Ooh, Jym. Congrats on S’s wedding! You’ll look beautiful in that dress. have fun!
Thanks! I actually had the hem let down a bit. It was too short, IMO,but has a 3 " hem.
Also, beads can damage delicate fabrics when the garment is being tumbled inside a washer or rubbed during hand wash in a sink.
Wearing this fo the Sunday brunch (but it wasnt on sale when I bought it ) http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/eliza-j-belted-print-faille-fit-flare-dress-regular-petite/3969395?origin=category-personalizedsort&contextualcategoryid=0&fashionColor=&resultback=3800
I like that dress too.
51 dress adorable
I like a lot of the navy dresses . I just understand why they don’t use silk or a blended fabric.
Thanks, ladies. The weather will be very unpredictable so my poor DH will be a bit of a sherpa, carrying sweaters and such.
Didnt mean to hijack the thread. OP- if you happen to live in my area, you are welcome to try on the dress in #4. It does fit well!
Here is one long gown by the same maker:

Are we voting? I really prefer the first dress to the second. I can’t stand the look of cap sleeves…so,the second dress would be out on my list. I think the first dress is really very pretty. It also looks more comfortable.
Very nice dresses, jym. I wish we were wearing knee-length for my son’s wedding. In fact, before I knew we were going long, I had started scouting shorter dresses in the stores. Oh, well. Congrats on your son’s wedding.
I had already tried the dress in #4, and it didn’t fit me well. Pretty dress, though.
The dress BB linked in #55 is also available at my Nordstrom’s, so I’ll look for that tomorrow too.
Thanks. And to you too! Good luck with the dress shopping! I am not usually a mall person but nordies worked for me.
Obviously we don’t know each other, but I think the Vince dress you linked to at Nordstrom is the prettiest!
