Stats:
10th - 4.0 UW, 4.25 W
11th - 4 AP’s, probably going to be around 3.8 - 4.0 UW, 4.5 - 4.67 W

One of my AP’s is AP Environmental Science and I’m really getting interested in it.
I recently attended a very exclusive conference at UCLA on how to “green” your business (I was the youngest person by about 20 years), and I was wondering if I can turn my concern for the environment into a HOOK.

I’m in Boy Scouts, and my Eagle Scout project will probably have to do w/ cleaning a forest or something, and I’m going to be president of the Recycling Club next year.

What other things can I do to make this thing more of a hook than an EC? (eg, more projects? more volunteer?)

that’s not a hook unless you solve global warming or make a significant contribution to the environment. think of how many high schoolers are concerned with the Earth.

GET INVOLVED! Do community work, raise money, try to advertise solar panels…and then write in your essay about your experiences with it. Or take a more scholarly approach and do some research and write a paper on your findings.

JohnC613 is right in that it is not a unique passion or a talent/hook…unless you are uniquely passionate about it.
