<p>How big is Vanderbilt’s molecular biology program/department? Or rather… how good is Vanderbilt’s undergraduate molecular biology (or biology in general)?</p>
<p>I’m a molecular and cellular bio major, and I’ve really loved the program so far. I’m not entirely sure how big it is, but I would venture to say MCB may be the most popular Bio major. There is definitely a research focus, and finding a lab is pretty easy. I’m actually spending the summer in my research lab.</p>
<p>the department is superior; they are similar to Johns Hopkins and Wash U.; if you doubt it talk to some geneticists at other research universities</p>
