I’m planning to enroll in Computer Engineering as a freshie in the fall. I want to know what a person who has actually gone through a year in engineering thinks of the “ECA” here: [url=Page Not Found, Illinois Undergraduate Admissions]U of I Admissions: Tuition & Fees/url.

Is the “Other expenses” category realistic, given that I know how to live meagerly? Keeping in mind the fact that I plan to stay at Hendrick; with only 14 meals/week I’m sure to be buying snacks out of pocket.

While we’re talking about Hendrick, any horror stories/comments about it? Would it be worth it to go to the west (that’s the better one, right?) building?

Is the “Books and supplies” cost representative for an engineer?

What should I expect to pay in taxes? I have merit money up to ECA and plan to work over summer if it’s relevant.

Your response GREATLY appreciated :)
