Is there any type of advantage that comes with being an African-American female who is capable of paying for all four years of an education at Harvard without financial aid?

No…Harvard is need blind. Your family’s financial status is not taken into account for admissions.

sudaneya, i am in the same situation. but i still applied for fin aid. i guess if you don’t apply for fin aid, then maybe that would be a slight tip factor (although I have no idea really)…

I work all night, I work all day to pay the bills I have to pay. - ain’t it sad
But still there never seems to be a single penny left for me - that’s too bad
In my dreams, I have a plan, If I got me a wealthy man
I wouldn’t have to work at all I’d fool around and have a ball

it’s a rich man’s world

it’s a rich man’s world

You have plenty of advantage already.

No, what you describe won’t matter because Harvard is need blind.

However, what you described on a different thread may help you a great deal as it seems to be a very impressive EC. I suggest that you either write your essay about it or submit an additional recommendation from someone who can describe your role in the below.
" Under Teens 4 Peace I was able to help organize a huge rally in order to stop the genocide occuring in Darfur, Sudan. It was a huge success, mostly becuase it was organized in Washington D.C.'s popular Dupont Circle. I worked with Amnesty International, Save Darfur, STAND."
