<p>I WAS interested in applying into VCU BS/MD AS well some other gmed programs. I know you have to have some medical background( volunteering,research). However, do they accept people who have diverse background mostly in business. For instance i have very unique business background thats out of the ordinary but have mediocre med ec’s. (lets say hypothetical my gpa and sat/act is in the median range)?</p>
<p>They like medical backgrounds-- A Lot. Not necessarily business. You are competing with people who have amazing med experiences/research. Academic doctors/program directors are in academics & not business, generally speaking, and are looking for people like themselves. Look into the UPenn Valegos Program in Life Sciences, part of the Wharton School.</p>
<p>might help with the union/albany med program. it gives an MBA degree and business is a pretty big focus.</p>
