Money

Then interest and goal of business is money so i am asking you guys what makes the most money. Obviously i know IB is pretty crazy but the economy is going to ***** and i know i should always have a backup plan. I am interested in maybe double majoring in finance and accountancy and maybe minoring in econ or mathematics.

in general if i also go to a decent mba program

how much would i earn
in

finance
1 year
5 year
10 year
20 year

assuming i get a mba around my 5th year

accountancy
1 year
5 year
10 year
20 year

consulting
1 year
5 year
10 year
20 year

It’s doubtful that US economy will be down for any extended period of time. Regardless of that, some areas will be largely unaffected by the downturn (ie Texas).

As for your question, few with MBAs go into accounting. I don’t have the exact answer to your questions but consultants generally make a crap load, corporate finance less so. Both make far more than you would ever need to spend. If you are looking to become Mega-Rich, averages will not do you justice but consulting obviously has more opportunities to grow (on average).
