Monk Fruit safe or not?

luo han guo…monk fruit is it safe for long term use? Also, is nectresse verison the only one available in the USA. I been trying to find out more information on this product.

I just recently learned that the sugar alchohols in candy makes my fasting blood sugar really bad. I didn’t even check this until I read a book that had a little bit of information about sugar substitutes. I had not checked my blood sugars regularly because my A1C was ok. I decided to check my level after I ate some of these sugar free candies the day before. I had a worst fasting sugar than normal and had nothing else that day that would of caused it. 25 points higher than my normal level.

Doesn’t look like there is enough evidence out to prove if it’s safe. It hasn’t been studied as extensively as other sweeteners on the market. Probably best to use in moderation.
