<p>I got turned down by SUNY Geneseo. What surrpised me is that they said they had about 11,000 applicant trying for 925 freshman slots. I never would have expected that many applicants.</p>
<p>it’s one of the best SUNY schools…don’t feel bad…they call themselves “NY’s public honors college”…also they’re used to accepting a lot of transfer students b/c they don’t give scholarships until 2nd year…so if you really want to go, just find somewhere else for a one-year hiatus lol.</p>
<p>I just didn’t expect to get turned down. <_< I got into all the other ones.(Stony Brook,Platts and Brockport)
But yeah, the shear number of people that applied amazed me.</p>
<p>If it’s the “best SUNY school” then it’s no surprise that they get tons of apps–they are probably the financial safety of just about every high-acheiving student in the state.</p>
<p>yeah it was the most competitive year… cheer up dude you can always transfer… good luck!</p>
<p>I applied to six places, got accepted to 3 so far, wait listed at one (SDSU) and I’m not holding out for the others.</p>
