Montana State University - WUE application help?

Hello everyone! I’m very new. So far I’ve completed and submitted my application for MSU, but now I’m working on submitting a WUE financial aid application. This is the form I currently filling out: https://www.montana.edu/admissions/wue/

I’m just a bit confused on the tone I should be using to complete this application. My initial thought was to write everything in a more essay-like way. However the questions they ask are like, “Please list the extracurriculars you would be interested in joining.”

So… should I really just list them? Or should I write what I’d like to join, and why, like I would on a short answer question?

Make a list. It’s pretty clear from the application that they want very short answers. The essay is limited to 150 words.
