<p>Does anyone have any experience with this place?</p>
<p>My D had a portfolio review with a faculty member there at NPD in Nov07. She found their suggestions helpful when putting together her admissions materials. She decided to apply even though we had not yet visited the campus - but we had heard good things about it.
My D applied in December and was accepted with a merit scholarship.</p>
<p>I have a family member who transferred from the school after a year because she did not like the living arrangements. The dorms are all basically apartments in old houses around the city of Beverly. They were lovely living quarters but she did not get the feel of a community that she was looking for. She ended up transferring to another art school in Boston that had more of a campus feel after her foundation year.</p>
<p>I just wonder if it’s too small to spend 4 years there, in Beverly. After a couple of years you know everyone and have done everything. But it looks like a nice nurturing environment. I wonder about the quality of the teaching? How can you make outside connections?</p>
