More celebrity RIPs

All of the shows noted above are on ME Tv (antenna) or the other free stations. Dobbie Gillis is on at about 3 am (ask me how I know). George Clooney was a regular on Roseann and also on Facts of Life before his ER breakout

But the show with a lot of Guest Stars? The Nanny! Donald Trump, Marla Maples, Roger Clinton, Elizabeth Taylor, Rosie O’Donnell. Fran Drescher was connected.

(Most are still alive, so back to the RIP thread)

“Dobie Gillis” was just slightly before my time; but Bob Denver in “Gilligan’s Island” was not to be missed!

I was in junior high back then, and I would pretend to be current college stars while shooting hoops in the driveway. Day and Mayberry were two of the more frequent conjurings. Sad to hear about Miller!

Those “40 Minutes of Hell” teams were consistent contenders for a while.

Jay North, who played Dennis the Menace, passed away at 74.

Mentioned upthread a week ago.

I think she meant “the Beaver” - I’m totally kidding, but given all the traffic

Mentioned upthread. I really liked Jean Marsh and Upstairs Downstairs.

Funny it just popped up on my feed today.

Shocking to wake up that the Pope passed away.

Shocking that he was seen yesterday on Easter.

Just saw this as well. Nice that he survived through Easter Sunday.

I am no longer a Catholic, but I was raised in the Catholic Church. Of all the popes in my lifetime, Pope Francis was the one who most closely followed the teachings of Christ. He could only effect so much change, because he was working within a very entrenched system. But the focus on serving the least of us was commendable, and I hope that it has made a lasting positive change in the church that perhaps can be built upon in the coming years.

I took this pic in 2016 - I had to do a double take, I thought I saw the Pope kayaking on Balboa Island!

RIP Pope Francis, you were one of the good ones.

I love this - from the Pope’s last will and testament: The suffering that has become present in the last part of my life I have offered to the Lord for peace in the world and brotherhood among peoples.
