Someone I know knows Kelly Clarkson, and they confirm that she is a wonderful person. Certainly, we don’t know what happens in any particular relationship, but the general consensus seems to be that she is a good person.

Jeff Bezos’s mom passed away. I had no idea Bezos was adopted by his stepdad. Interesting fact. His parents bootstrapped Amazon with their savings without any hope to get anything back. That investment now apparently is worth $30B.

Oh, no! I had a crush on him in college. So good looking and debonair.

Graham Greene has passed away. He won a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Dances with Wolves. I remember him most for his work as K.B., the explosives guy, on The Red Green Show (such a great show!). And as Leonard the shaman on Northern Exposure.

Oh! And Reservation Dogs! He seemed to be the go-to guy for shows with respectful portrayals of Native Americans.

Love Graham Greene’s cynical anything-for-a-buck character in Maverick.

OK, tried to figure it out and it must have been an article about the TENTH ANNIVERSARY of his death. What I get for skimming headlines.

RIP Mark Volman.

Not a celebrity but a great citizen throughout his life.
Joseph McNeil, who jolted the civil rights movement when he and three other students held a sit-in at a segregated lunch counter in Greensboro, N.C., has died at 83.
