This story makes me very sad. Ethan’s mother committed suicide when he was a very little boy, leaving him behind motherless, and I really hope he didn’t do the same, leaving his children fatherless.

RIP Ethan.

I don’t know if I’ve shared this before or not, but here we are, the 45th anniversary of John Lennon’s tragic death, so it’s time…

If you enlarge the first photo you’ll see a light on in a window - that’s John & Yoko’s apartment in The Dakota. The glasses John was wearing when he was shot to death sit on the windowsill overlooking Central Park, under the light, which stays on 24/7. And yes, that’s a photo of the glasses as they sit on the windowsill.

RIP John.

I remember that day well. It was exam week and I was graduating college and was packing my apt when I heard the news.

Is he related to Annie?

My sibling was a medical resident on duty in the ER at Roosevelt Hospital (now Mt Sinai West) when Lennon was brought in (but was not involved in his care).

I was a freshman in college, watching TV in our hall’s “smoker” (room where smoking was allowed). I remember being sad but thinking, “Well, he had a long life…”

John Lennon was only 40 when he passed. Way too young.

I was living in Colorado and at work when I heard the news.

I was a freshman in college. I’d had a high school teacher who had been a huge Beatles fan and shared that love with his classes and I remember thinking how sad he would be.
