<p>Wow, I guess I’m not alone. I’ve been looking at Lewis and Clark and Wesleyan myself!</p>
<p>Twist, you are definitely not alone! There is a large contingent of Californians at Wesleyan and they make their influence felt in every aspect of university life. Though most come from the San Francisco and LA metro areas, Wesleyan has increased efforts to pull in applicants from other parts of the state as well. I would strongly advise you to visit the campus in Middletown this summer if you can, and even better, arrange well ahead of time for an interview in the admissions office there. If you can’t get to the east coast, I would advise you to arrange for an interview here in California with an alum (or possibly with an admissions rep if they are passing through your area). More than many other schools, Wesleyan takes your personal interests and needs into consideration, not only during the admissions process, but also once you are on campus as a student there.</p>
