<p>And this story is about kids who can’t meet entrance stds at the City Colleges of Chicago. When I enrolled as a transfer student (from a 4-year college) at Roosevelt Univ, all xfers had to take an English placement test - because RU got so many kids from the CCCs who could not write simple English to RU stds. And RU ain’t exactly Harvard (or even U Chicago)!</p>
