More Focused Probability...

I’m fairly sure Penn is my first choice and I am going to ED Penn come Fall. Yes, I did post this in the “My Chances” forum but I wanted a view on my chances to get into Penn from people experienced with the Penn process. I’m well aware that admissions can be rather unpredictable but I’d like to know if I have a shot.

Random question: How much better would it look if I got my Jazz Band director to make officer positions just so I could throw it onto my resume? (I hereby declare myself president of jazz band…)

If it helps at all, I’m a strong essay writer (11 on my SAT essays, should’ve gotten 12 >.>) and I also have a separate English tutor who’ll help me with it.

My guidance rec will definitely be the best, tight with her, she also was my brother’s counselor so I’ve actually known her for like 8 years now.

Teacher recs: Kinda a gamble? My sci teacher’s attitude towards me seems hot/cold depending on the day, but she did write me the letter which got me into the summer research program…so I dunno. English teacher will probably write a good one, our personalities are very similar (not sure how great that is though haha) and he’s had me for two years now. (9th and 11th)

Sorry for long post and thanks for viewing :D.

You did a very good job of improving on CR, thereby taking full advantage of Superscore.
How did you do that? So you have taken 2 SATs so far? How much time interval was between the testings?

From what I see, you have a very, very good chance for Penn… definitely…
the only flaw might be grades, but you can’t do anything with that.

I like the music extracurrics… it’s really wellvalued i heard
