<p>It has been a record breaking year for the USC men’s water polo team. They won their fifth straight national championship. This was the first time any college water polo U. S. team has won five championships in a row.</p>
<p>Head coach, Jovan Vavic, has been named “National Coach of the Year”. Nikola Vavic has earned top honors as “National Player of the Year”. Nikola is one of eight All Americans on the 2012 team. Nikola set the record for single season scoring with 83 goals. The record had stood for 24 years.</p>
<p>Nikola Vavic has been named a finalist for the Cutino Award. This is college water polo’s highest honor. The winner will be named later in 2013.</p>
