More Portugal help please- Porto, Amarante, Duoro river day cruise , Mateus Castle

As we work with the other couple to finalize our Portugal trip, I am working on the parts noted in the title. Would live suggestions for which port house to visit, any particular Duoro river wine cruise you enjoyed, etc. We will be 3 days/2 nights in Porto, then one night (2 days? ) IN a wine hotel in Amarante. On my bucket list is to go to the Mateus castle one of those days. We head after Amarante to Coimbra, and am hoping none of those roads were damaged in the January floods. I am trying to look on the Rome to Rio app to get an idea of distances/travel time (we will have car). All help appreciated!

Would highly recommend going to visit Vasques de Carvalho. It’s a tiny independent port house and was a great contrast to the big houses. And their port is excellent! https://www.vasquesdecarvalho.com

We also toured Cockburn, one of the largest port houses.

Would also recommend eating dinner at Taylors or Grahams. Both are on the hill on the Gaia side with amazing views over to Porto. Taylors has peacocks wandering around which was pretty cool.

That’s all I can contribute as we drove the Duoro rather than cruised.
