Personally the most shocking thing about that story was that he is 29. I thought he was closer to 50.

I do think he is just a horrible man and agree enough already. I don’t want to hear about him any more.

^ This. The most surprising thing about the news were the ages of the Zimmermans; he’s 29 and she’s 26.

Otherwise, it’s an old story of a divorcing couple who have personal issues. He definitely has anger issues. The broken iPad, to me, is just evidence of that anger. I wish both would just go away - or the news media ignore them

I’m just waiting for him to do something that will get him locked up. I think it’s inevitable; he can’t help himself.

lindz, Zimmerman isn’t talking so that’s why people are focused on her.

O’Mara has quit as his attorney.

yes, Youdon’tsay–she is talking and she may be attention seeking, however I find it interesting how many have defended Z and see him as credible when in fact he also lied about the couples’ finances, and had his bond revoked because of those lies. somehow his wife has been perceived as more “culpable” in this lie which I think is strange. He killed a teen, his wife stood by him throughout his trial, even though they were already having marital trouble. He had a history of assaulting a police officer and a domestic violence arrest, but many still have a hard time believing this most recent incident to show his true colors.

Regarding Zimmerman’s finances, Corey alleged that in the recorded phone calls in April the couple “spoke in code to hide what they were doing” regarding the money in a credit union account belonging to the couple.

What I wrote was: “No love for Zimmerman, but his wife has no credibility here. I’d be happy to never hear about either of them again.”

I hope you didn’t interpret that as support for him, because nothing could be further from the truth.

oh not at all Youdon’tsay, I agree she has no credibility, my key point is neither does he. others have criticized her more sharply than him, like suggesting she broke her own IPad which boggles my mind. Seems a complete denial of who he really is.

Z recently visited the gun factory that made the gun he used to kill Trayvon. Sorry this is a bad guy.

“We understand how George visiting the factory that produces the gun used to shoot Trayvon Martin is seen as inappropriate,” Shawn Vincent, spokesman for Zimmerman’s lawyer Mark O’Mara, told Reuters on Friday.

He seems to get involved in incidences wherr you are forced to believe one story over a different story. Without video evidence I would prefer for this man to disappear from the news.

There were a bunch of witnesses at scene other day and it should be easy sorting out what actually occurred…local cops are supposed to have a press conference this afternoon with findings of investigation. I think Shellie swung the iPad at George inside house, he grabbed it from her, and busted it up out in front of house.

We should have the death penalty for anyone who assaults and injures innocent and cute electronic devices.

@dietz I see you realized that letting your kid walk to a gas station to get candy isn’t an example of bad parenting.

According to the Orlando Sentinel article, we don’t know whether Zimmerman had a gun:

Much as I hate Zimmerman and would like to see him in jail, this sounds like a run-of-the-mill divorce dispute.

Mark O’Mara confirmed that he did in fact have his gun on him.

What kind of criminal defense lawyer insists his client was carrying a gun after police at scene say he didn’t have a gun? The client’s former criminal defense lawyer!

lizard, I thought the police didn’t search him.

It was reported cops didn’t search GZ’s vehicle because there was no probable cause. I’m sure cops searched GZ after they cuffed him.

Yeah well, from the video surveillance broadcast on the TV news this morning, the female officer aiming her pistol at Zimmerman and her partner ordering him to get to the ground it sure looks like they think they had probable cause for a search.

Why do we need to hear about Zimmerman and his divorce?

I admit it, I came to the thread…I’m part of the problem…

Why can’t we just leave it alone? The media keeps dishing it and we keep eating it…There are so many more pressing issues than this man, his attention-seeking wife and their divorce.

^^^^Because many of us believe that he got away with murder, and we’re hoping that he’ll be punished for something else. Because many of us believe that he got away with murder, and hearing about other violent escapades justifies that belief. Because many of us believe that he got away with murder, and we’re hopeful that there is justice in the world.
