More Questionable Behavior by George Zimmerman

George Zimmerman had his day in court and I won’t rehash his case here, but when I read the other day that he carried his gun with him when he went to confront and argue with his soon-to-be ex wife (reportedly) and father-in-law over at the in-law’s home, I shake my head and wonder if the Florida vs. Zimmerman jury missed something about this fellow.

Wouldn’t a responsible gun owner have left the gun in the car, knowing that a spousal spat might escalate into “an accident?” Reports of Mrs. Zimmerman’s call to 911 indicate that George actually un-holstered his weapon to threaten the wife and the father-in-law.

The laws in Florida must be different because in other states anti-Domestic Violence laws mandate that the gun be confiscated and not returned until a judicial hearing. Apparently the local cops returned the weapon to Zimmerman rather promptly. Ugh!

Ummm…no. His wife called 911 and claimed he had a gun. When the cops showed up…They couldn’t find a gun. Wife changed her story. However, HIS lawyer said he did have one but never took it out.

[George Zimmerman-gun: Shellie Zimmerman changes her story, says husband didn’t threaten her with a gun.](George Zimmerman-gun: Shellie Zimmerman changes her story, says husband didn't threaten her with a gun.)

Shellie Zimmerman was convicted of perjury last month for lying. I wouldn’t rely on everything coming out of her mouth being truthful. She could end up in jail for lying about GZ threatening her with gun when he didn’t.

As much as I think GZ is a murderer and an overall bad guy, I think he’s innocent in this one.

We know his burning car story was a bunch of crap and this seems to be too. I’m personally sick of hearing about him.

I’m sick of hearing about him, but I’d be happy if he manages to do something stupid enough to land him in jail.

His wife is divorcing him. People say many untrue things when they are going through process. His wife is a convicted liar so why believe anything she says until all the facts are known.

If there is one person in the country who should be armed all times, it is Zimmerman. There are many many people who would love to take him out because they are racist and don’t care about the outcome of the verdict.

Did anyone ever think these people were outstanding citizens. I don’t think they are spending much time worrying about things like which school they can get into with ____ SAT/ACT scores and _____ EC’s.

There are tons of thousands of married couples going through divorce with stories like the Zimmermans’ dust up the other day. Nothing to see here except regular old feuding spouses.

No love for Zimmerman, but his wife has no credibility here. I’d be happy to never hear about either of them again.

You know…if he was locked up none of this would’ve happened.

If I accidentally killed someone, I sure as heck wouldn’t still be carrying around a gun with me.

This guy is just a guy to avoid at all costs. He is the poster child for restrictive gun laws.

I’ve heard that many divorce attorneys instruct their female clients to call the cops, claim he has a gun, and say he threatened her. It gets him kicked out of the house, gets her custody of the kids, and has him fighting legal battles on two fronts while she gets to focus on the divorce.

Agreed. I really wish he would not become national news for sneezing…

Just wow.

Just like O.J. Simpson.

The Postman Always Rings Twice was the story of OJ and may become so for Zimmerman.

while the wife has no credibility, and did perjure herself, so did he. they both used code words to hide their money from the court. not sure why anyone would only fault her for that action.

I think he was probably at minimum intimidating her, c’mon the guy could have left the scene, oh wait he doesn’t do that. I do think he’s an impulsive and aggressive guy. Reportedly he did smash her Ipad, but who knows what really happened. she strikes me as one who is hot to sell her story. Interesting it came out that the couple had had a fight the night Zimmerman killed Martin and Shellie had already left the home, to sleep elsewhere. state of mind…

as far as Z being one who really needs to be armed, I truly don’t get this logic. as a Floridian, it frightens me that he still has a gun. and yes he did have his gun on him, somehow the local pd couldn’t find it???

“George Zimmerman’s lawyer, Mark O’Mara, told Anderson Cooper that Zimmerman was carrying his weapon at the time.”

The wife said She was recording the incident on her iPad but that GZ grabbed and broke it. The police took possession of the broken iPad. If they can recover any of the pictures they may find out who was telling the truth.

It does beg the ideation though - if GZ wasn’t doing anything, why did he wreck the iPad?

Or maybe the question should be why did she destroy the ipad?

Sorry Jonri but the report I read stated that the cops confiscated Zimmerman’s gun for a short while. That report isn’t necessarily accurate but you can say that about the stories you’ve read about the Shellie vs. George spat as well.

It helps if you link the story. (That’s not meant to be snarky–honest.)
