Morehead-Cain Admission Referral

If I’m a Morehead-Cain admissions referral candidate OOS, does this mean I will definitely be accepted to UNC since the results for being admitted to UNC RDI and finding out if one’s a finalist for the scholarship come out on the same day.

Apparently this year they selected less than 19 Admission Referral Candidates.

Technically, the two are not related. And I would say if you are an admissions referral you would have an excellent chance of being accepted, as in a sure thing … it’s quite an honor to be pulled. Good for you!

19 would be a VERY high number pulled…

I guess I slightly misspoke with “19 were pulled,” the man I spoke to said something closer to less than 20 were pulled, take that as it is. Just wondering, how many of the people pulled out of admission referral are usually chosen as finalist. I only ask because although I’ve been accepted EA to my top choice school, UChicago, I’ve been reading a lot about the MC Scholarship and I’m getting very excited about it. Even though money really isn’t a major factor I think the MC Scholarship would be an amazing opportunity.

Bump 10char

You have as good of chance as any of the other candidates. I believe they will invite about 120 for the finalist weekend and then about 60 are chosen. So you need to get through the next hoops first, which will differ if you are in or out of state. Once you are invited, you have about a 50% chance. Although by percentages, there are always far more NC Scholars, then OOS, then international.
