Morgan Stanley Internship

I’m being considered for an internship with Morgan Stanley Global Wealth Management in San Francisco. However, the internship schedule would cut into my class schedule, and I want to know whether or not top law schools like Yale would care how heavy your course load. So is it better to take 4 classes and not take the internship, or take 3 classes with the internship? Thanks.

im also a college student so i have no expertise in this, but, it seems to me that having that kind of internship would be beneficial for both standing out on a law school application as well as on your resume should you seek out the jobworld first.

if you can get credit for the intership it shouldn’t be a problem.

Hey, i had an internship with Morgan Stanley’s global wealth management branch, too. It was pretty easy to get the internship so i had a feeling that it wouldn’t be too spectacular. And i happened to be right…They had me do grunt work pretty much the whole time. So, dont expect too much from this internship…I can tell you more about my experiences if you want.

Yeah, the guy told me that it’s a ***** internship. However, he says it looks great on a resume, and that not many people get it. He told me of a couple of students who went on to work for Goldman Sachs after this internship. Also, this internship is paid, which makes it all the better.

yale law won’t care; in fact, not many people (not to say no one…) will.

take it if you want; however, for law school it won’t matter - well, it will if it causes you to have a lower gpa…
