He just announced his retirement a few days ago. How painfully sad. Rest in peace Morley. 60 minutes will not be the same without you.
RIP Morley. 60 Minutes just aired a special last Sunday on Morley in honor of his years on the broadcast.
How very sad. The special segment on Sunday was very interesting. Morley had an amazing career before 60 Minutes. I had the good fortune to be at an event years ago where he talked about the early days of his career in Canada with the CBC. A sweet man who was also very funny. May he rest in peace.

I saw him in person at a school sponsored field trip in the 70s. Just Morley by himself on stage for 90 minutes. He was a cocky man who spoke way too honestly while chain smoking for the entire talk.
I can’t believe we got out of school to see a news reporter. The next month we went to see Jesse Jackson, who had us standing and chanting " I am Somebody".
