They got Pennsylvania wrong.
They definitely got Alabama wrong. Indian Springs School, rebuilt and expanded in the past few years, won the national AIA Award for school building and bunch of other recognitions in 2016 and 2017. It’s truly stunning.

Wow! My high school made the list for Illinois. It certainly wasn’t as beautiful when I attended!
They got Michigan right.
I just skimmed this, but they didn’t do so bad with Massachusetts. And Delaware. I’m still drooling over SAS. (Stone… ‘nuff said.)
Funny, but for a number of schools, you need to get the aerial view to see it.
Got Georgia wrong.
It’s one of those ‘eye of the beholder’ things. I’d have chosen a different one for CT and MA. In fact, while I like Taft, there are others that I like more. My kids think Taft looks like a prison (but they go to Taft’s rival. If architecture is the article’s primary focus, based on the photo Alaska must have some seriously ugly schools.
@Temperantia I know that a lot of boarding school kids who don’t attend Taft think it looks like hogwarts
