<p>OK peeps, what movies did you enjoy the most, not the ones most Oscar worthy. I’ll start:</p>

<p>And that’s about it. This was not the greatest year for movies.</p>
<p>The History Boys - though some would count it as 2006.</p>
<p>Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story

<p>Totally awesome movie.</p>
<p>These did not get wide releases, but they were excellent movies:

<p>and with a wide release and for major action:
The Bourne Ultimatum</p>
<p>Away From Her - hope they remember Julie Christie come Oscar time</p>
<p>Knocked up, Superbad, No Country for Old Men</p>
<p>Worst movie- “Wild Hogs”</p>

And more serious but still enjoyable in its way, The Lives of Others.</p>

<p>HOT FUZZ - quality entertainment. </p>
<p>Transformers - mediocre plot, but amazing popcorn flick.</p>
<p>Bourne Ultimatum - A formulaic thriller, following the previous films - but the enjoyment factor remained.</p>
<p>Superbad - Fo sho. </p>
<p>Children of Men - A little creepy, but nonetheless entertaining. </p>
<p>Plenty of other good movies, but in terms of entertainment, the above is basically it.</p>

<p>Loved Knocked Up, Superbad, and Juno.</p>
<p>Hairspray, because I saw it with my 87 year old FIL and he roared with laughter.</p>
<p>American Gangster, because I saw it with my l8 year old freshman. We were
on the edge of our seats, knocked out by the brilliant screenplay and acting.
Don’t drink a pepsi during this movie because you won’t be able to leave to relieve. We couldn’t predict the next moment, and every moment mattered. The balance between these two independent characters and their ultimate encounter was so well-drawn. I’ve also never seen a movie where Manhattan and New Jersey were handled like two intertwined characters. Loved it. For me, pie-eyed = entertained.</p>
<p>The Diving Bell and the Butterfly was amazing, but I wouldn’t necessarily call it entertaining - it’s just a very well-made French film, and a true story - incredible!</p>
