Most important Aspect In Admission?

Hi, im a sophmore and i plan to apply for the academy and i wanted to know what is the most important factor that they consider when looking at your application. Also do they look at AP or SAT II scores ???

I am in the Civil Air Patrol, does that help alot ??

There’s really no single “most important,” Phillykid. I don’t think they formally consider AP or SAT II scores, but they definitely consider enrollment in AP and IB courses. The more challenging the curriculum, the better. The service academy admissions process is very much a “whole man/woman” thing, where they look at the big picture. Weaknesses in one area can be made up in others, but only to a point. There are so many strong applicants out there, that what MAY look like a strength to you, may actually be below average for the whole applicant pool.

CAP helps, but it’s probably not in the top 5… Top 5 are probably Class Rank, Curriculum, SAT/ACT scores, extracurriculars (especially Varsity Sports), and either PAE scores or recommendations.
