My class is using the Campbell textbook for AP Biology, and my teacher told us that she was only going to cover the first 20 chapters and last 5 chapters of the book, with the addition of skimming through a few other chapters along the way. I feel that this isn’t enough, because she did this last year and the whole class received low scores on the AP exam except for two students. I’m planning to go through a few chapters of my own, and I was wondering which ones were the MOST important (excluding 1-20 & 50-55). I also have Cliffnotes, which is also very helpful. I may have to cram that in if everything doesn’t work out the way I plan.

This is the distribution of questions on the AP Bio test:
I. Molecules and Cells (25%)
A. Chemistry of Life (7%)
B. Cells (10%)
C. Cellular Energetics (8%)

II. Heredity and Evolution (25%)
A. Heredity (8%)
B. Molecular Genetics (9%)
C. Evolutionary Biology (8%)

III. Organisms and Populations (50%)
A. Diversity of Organisms (8%)
B. Structure and Function of Plants and Animals (32%)
C. Ecology (10%)

You are skipping evolution, plants, animals, fungi, protists, and systems in animals (respiratory, endocrine, etc.). So, if you add up all of the percentages you are missing that is about 48% which mostly is the structure and function of plants and animals (32% out of the 48%).
