Most Impressive Resume Ever?

I know a lot of the people here on CC are above-average compared other students. And some of you guys probably know (or, are) individuals who just might be borderline genius. I just wondering if any of you have encountered a student resume was just AMAZING. Not asking for a specific format, anything goes: scores, rank, awards, etc. and (if applicable) colleges accepted to. Thanks!

I’ve encountered way too many people on here that would be in that category. Up until I started frequenting this site, I always that I was pretty smart. Seeing the vast number of incredibly applicants, I felt pretty bad about myself. Although I don’t recall the user, I remember seeing an app with a 2400 SAT (single sitting), about 8-9 SAT IIs, most 800s a couple high 700s, more APs than I care to count, a very promising wrestling recruitment opportunity (something like undefeated in the nation), numerous international level awards, and to top it all of they had a legacy to Stanford or Harvard. Seeing that made me feel like such a failure.

I disagree with the implication that a strong resume indicates genius, or that genius always manifests itself in the form of a strong resume.

that person turned out to be a liar. hilarious I know

Having the “perfect” resume is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, you have an applicant that’s perfect in everything. On the other hand, it makes you doubt the applicant. “Just another BWRK.” Zip.

I did not mean to imply that an impressive resume translates to genius. Note, I said “borderline.” While a high IQ may not necessarily lead to an amazing resume, it does take some level of intellect to be successful in some areas. I’m just collecting stories about some of the most impressive kiddos we know. I have a friend who won at Intel, started a successful non-for-profit, and plays varsity basketball. Seems to good to be true, but I’ve seen it with my own eyes, so I know it’s possible.

Oh pbth that guy was a fake? Geez. Although it does seem close to impossible to have such stats.

What’s a BWRK?

BWRK = Bright Well-Rounded Kid

Probably Jersey13’s. Look him up.

I was at a college seminar in NYC once, and Shawn Abbott, assistant VP of admissions at NYU, told us that he saw a 17 year old with a silver medal for swimming in the 2004 Olympics, perfect SAT score, Young Talent award from The Cotton Club for saxophone (verrrry hard to get), Valedictorian, get rejected from Harvard.
