<p>I’ve heard a lot of stories about colleges with extremely in depth roommate selection processes, ie. pages of questions. What’s the longest you’ve heard of?</p>
<p>Rice’s is actually rather intricate. I remember answering a question that asked me something along the lines of who I would have a romantic relationship with, if given the chance. Granted, I don’t remember if that was only given to your roommate or if that was used to help match, but I know they asked a lot of questions. haha</p>
<p>I never heard of extremely long applications but a lot of questions you would be afraid to answer.</p>
<p>Like, do you party? Things of that nature.</p>

<p>I think that when it comes down to it, you can try hard to match people… but you really won’t know if it’s going to work until you actually spend some time with the other person. I think a lot of people get their hopes up at having the ‘perfect’ roommate and so they obsess over it, and then they end up disappointed when the person who they met on facebook who they thought they’d get along well with is actually someone they can’t stand.</p>
<p>It’s kind of a toss up no matter if you go in knowing the person already or going completely randomly. Anything can happen.</p>
