heyy. know this is kinda dumb… but…
in part II of the application, there’s this qns asking applicants to describe his/her most interesting work or educational experience. is going on a humanitarian aid trip to a 3rd world country to help out/teach children considered one?

yup…

I have a question about this prompt too. Are we expected to say what we did in very straight-forward, factual terms or should we mention our emotions, etc., and make it into a short essay?

Well if it says “interesting” then you should say why YOU found it interesting…a factual summary doesn’t really explain all that even though it is necessary to have one along with your personal description

Joyyy: If it was your most interesting experience, then you should write about it. But write about what they taught you, not what you taught them.

Do you guys think it’s okay to talk about something purely educational with no relation to “work experience” whatsoever? I’ve never had a job, but I was going to talk about a summer camp I went to…

sure why not

I hear if you don’t do exactly as the instructions specify they automatically stamp rejected on your app and throw it in the trash. Then for good measure they set the trash can on fire and then seal it an oil barrel with all the other rejected apps and ship it off to be stored in a toxic waste containment facility in the mountains of northern Colorado. They’ll even reject your children if they apply. Again just what I hear.

enough flaming!
