For me, this is my favorite verse: “he knows the path I take, I will come forth as a gold once he has tested me.”
Those are both great ways to phrase it. I suppose when you say “I’m sorry for what I did” you’re admitting, more than anything, that what you did was wrong. It’s a bit more open ended.
