<p>It depends on the school, at least if you’re basing it off the campus.</p>
<p>Depends on the school 100%. A great frat at one school can be a bad one at another.</p>

<p>Not sure the most prestigious but I would probably stay away from TKE, SigEp, ZBT, AEPI, and SAMMY. The most prestigious would probably be the fraternities that were founded the first and sometimes in the South because they had more time to build up. </p>

<p>Most of those you listed are Jewish frats, lol, and if you’re Jewish you might like them. (You don’t have to be Jewish to be in them though, I’m in a Jewish sorority and I’m not Jewish). I think TKE is generally bad at a lot of schools though. SigEp can vary a lot.</p>

<p>^Interesting. Sammy is banned at mine too but they still exist off-campus.</p>
<p>I don’t go to Cornell but I do go to a school in the North East. Sammy is actually in full suspension from our IFC for the past year and most likely going to get their charter revoked lol.</p>

<p>Sammy was banned at mine for causing trouble a while back, don’t know the specifics. I don’t even know if they have a charter anymore, it’s possible they might and just aren’t recognized by the school, I don’t know. They all just rented an apartment building that’s pretty much exclusively Sammy. But sororities still have events and stuff with them, they just aren’t official events.</p>
<p>I get the feeling that if you’re joining a fraternity based on prestige , you’re doing it wrong.</p>
<p>As everyone else has stated this all depends on the school because every chapter is different.</p>
<p>Fraternity prestige is also fickle. A fraternity can go from top to bottom in a matter of 2-3 years if they get in trouble.</p>
<p>If you are rushing I would recommend not worrying about “prestige” and finding a fraternity you enjoy fitting in. Unless you join a complete garbage of a fraternity you will still have the athletic, brotherhood, parties, and involvement opportunities that any other fraternity would offer so you might as well do it with people you like</p>
