Most Recognizable Brand Name in the World?

I was just thinking about this today while talking to my parents about how globalisation was beginning to now affect villages in India. Are there any brand names that would be recognizable ANYWHERE in the world? I was thinking it’d have to be either Coke or Nike, but what does everyone else think?

McDonald’s

^^ Exactamente.

I concur…

I’d say Coca Cola, then McDonald’s.

McDonalds? It’s defintely well known, but I dunno how well known it’d be in a place like, say, rural kazakhstan or in the interior of Africa. It’s products are a bit more difficult to spread than coke, imo.

Harvard is the most recognizable brand name…

I think that in some parts of the world, the United States is a brand of sorts. so that gets my vote.

I heard somewhere that “OK” and “Coke” are the two most well known English words or something like that. Coca Cola is easily the best known brand throughout the world.

^i heard that, too.

Coke in a landslide.

People in Indian villages surely won’t know about McDonalds. Coke maybe, but the most Recognizable Brand Name that comes to my mind is Colgate (the toothpaste, not the college).

Oxford. 10 char

Coke, like cocaine.

I would say coke or nike.

Did you know McDonalds are much more upscale in Europe and Austrailia, with a more diverse menu and McCafe.

Coca Cola, Disney, Nokia, McDonalds, Kodak (in decline, but still everywhere)

Microsoft, i think

coke, hands down. i can’t imagine much else coming even close.

Coke, windows microsoft

Coke, but didn’t they sort of boycott coke in the middle east.
