Most selective school?

hey guys i’m just curious if anyone knows what the most selective school is at american for undergrad admissions.

thanks!

Admission to the university is not on a school-by-school basis, so individual schools do not make their own admissions decisions. Therefore, there is no such thing as a more or less selective school. To the extent that the various schools have varying student profiles (e.g., high school GPA and SAT scores), that is a function of self-selection by the students who apply to and ultimately decide to attend.

Does anyone have that breakdown of student profiles by school?

Tables 15, 16, and 17 in AU’s Academic Data Reference Book (http://www1.american.edu/academic.depts/provost/oir/PDF/ADRB%20Fall%202008.pdf</a>) provide information about applicants, admits, and enrollees for the fall 2008 semester.

interesting resource, thanks.

hey thanks pswillia that’s awesome!

WOW.

look at the increase in applicants with a 4.00 or higher for Fall 2007 - Fall 2008…

yup good info thx.

That was very interesting info, but, re: the jump in GPA for 2008, there’s a note that says they changed the way they figure GPA that year.
