<p>Last semester (my first semester at Cal), I met a lot of people who are very… similar to one another. This is due in primarily to my major. I am very eager to meet a larger, more diverse group of people. I plan to join at least one club and take a DeCal this semester in order to make this happen. I am actually pretty excited about next semester!</p>
<p>Has anyone done the Teach In Prison DeCal? It sounded interesting to me.</p>

<p>Shop around man. There’s a ton of those decals listed there, you’ve gotta be interested in two or three of them, just visit all of the ones you’re interested in during your first couple of weeks and pick the one you’re most comfortable in. Sign up if you have to and drop 'em before the deadline if you don’t like them. Just wander into some clubs you are attracted to. You can’t engineer yourself to be social, but you can go to places/events you’re interested in and the social aspect will just be a natural byproduct. If you go with that, there’s a much higher chance of being social and making friends with the people you meet,.</p>
